I am selfish. Maybe I try to make it seem like I am doing things for the better of others. But in the back if my head I am probably thinking “what will I get out of this?” I think that’s why I don’t run to my close friends and loved ones as often. I feel like they feel I am just using them. Maybe it’s because I feel like I am just using them.

I “say” a lot. I find solutions to problems. I say that I have problems, but I don’t, really. I have minor inconveniences that I could easily get out of, however, I choose to complain. I think that’s my way of crying out for attention. I claim that I can’t stand people who cry out for attention, when in reality I can’t stand people who don’t know how to mask it and make it look like they really aren’t. It’s as if I can’t stand people who are not clever.

So does that mean I manipulate people into thinking something that’s really not true? In my music I use the word “lie” a lot and I talk about truth. I say it’s something I’ve learned from my father. In other words, “pity me PLEASE!!! Because I need someone to ‘love’ me by telling me.”

People SHOW me love all of the time. But I am so stuck on words that if you didn’t say it, it’s not true. How stupid does that sound?? “Actions speak louder than words,” so then why do I 1: rely on what people say and 2: not act loudly instead of speaking?

If I go back to what I was saying about picking up the bad habit from my dad, then in turn that means that I do lie. Not about everything and maybe not about important issues, but just in general. And with that said, other peoples’ words would be considered lies as well (again not every single thing they say but some things). So if I am relying on what people say, how can I be sure they are telling the truth? I can’t right? Hell, I can’t trust myself sometimes.

Here’s the point to all of that ranting; Why can’t I see people’s actions? Many people have been there for me on countless occasions and as much as I am so grateful for them at that moment, it probably fades away. Here’s the fucked up part. My memory is impeccable so I don’t ever forget what they have done, but I probably don’t get around to thanking them properly. Sure I can say thanks, but simply SHOWING my gratitude seems to be a task for me.

This is a self realization after a tremendous friend showed me the light. Actually, that was light was always there, I would just refuse to turn it on.
